The Calgary tower is a local landmark that doesn’t really get much action. My husband and I were there a few times (pre-kids) but I never had the urge to bring my double stroller up there for an afternoon of city gazing.
As with most ‘tourist attractions’, locals can sometimes forget about them. If price is an issue, there is a great offer going on right now that might convince you to trek to downtown Calgary with the kids:

Just bring a non-perishable food item or monetary donation down to the tower in exchange for free admission to the top of the Tower…only until December 19, 2008 9-noon (check their website www.calgarytower.comfor some seasonal observation deck closures)
