After the unfortunate closing of Airdrie’s Urban Treehouse (one of my favorite child-friendly coffee/play houses in and around Calgary) a few others popped up here and there.
It wasn’t until this weekend that I was delighted to see the newest edition to the child friendly scene in my city. Stir Crazy is a facility in the NE part of Calgary that caters to birthday parties and has a playground for children. Complete with a 50’s style diner, cupcake counter and party rooms it was a full service facility.
The thing that impressed me the most with this new business was the attention to detail. The staff was dressed in pink poodle skirts and pink glasses. All of the safety/security features I look for were there (locked access gates, staff checking who was coming and going, etc.).
Co-owner, Michelle Benson seems to have thought of all the little details that should make this play center a welcome addition to Calgary families and visitors. Great job!
