I’ve been hearing some buzz lately about a Fetal Doppler that has come on the market called the Sonoline or Sonoline B Fetal Doppler.
As a Canadian business with a reputation for carrying top quality product my first concern about a unit that is so inexpensive is quality.
After some research online I found that this doppler is manufactured in China by a company called CONTEC. I was able to search for it in the Canadian Medical Device License registry. All medical products that are bought and sold in Canada require this Medical Device License. Canada uses this system to protect consumers against unsafe products. CONTEC and the Sonoline dopplers just recently (2015) got this license
At One Tiny Suitcase, our customers safety is of the utmost importance. We do not carry any products for sale or rent that are not approved for use in Canada.
As with most things it seems you get what you pay for. Our Medical Grade NICOLET Elite 100 fetal dopplers are the same ones selected and used by Doctors and Midwives in Canada. Retailing well over $600 each, our units are high quality dopplers that can detect baby’s heartbeat between 9-12 weeks.
