Banff Baby Stroller Rentals

Our stroller rentals seem to be spending more time in Banff these days than I am. Customers are calling in everyday looking for an all-terrain stroller that they can take with them to Banff. One of my favorite stroller recommendations is the VALCO Tri-mode stroller rental.

valco

This is tough as nails, full of features and comes with so many custom accessories it can battle any kind of weather. Here are 5 reasons why the VALCO stroller is so good for a winter trip to Banff with Baby:

1. The Winter Boot– included with this stroller rentals, this ‘boot’ or ‘foot muff’ as it is sometimes called, protects little one’s feet and never needs a blanket.

2. Recline– most strollers recline but this stroller really reclines (to flat) for nap time. You can also easily reverse the seat if you want baby facing you too.

3. Swivel– like the flexibilty of a front wheel that can swivel? This stroller can do both, easily change the front wheel from fixed to swivel with a flick of the swivel lock located on the handle. A fixed front wheel will be easier for getting through the snow and over curbs but the swivel wheel allows you to turn it on a dime.

4. Generous hood– the hood or sun/rain shade can be pulled down to cover almost the whole seat. Excellent for unpredictable weather!

5. It’s tough!– it’s really durable, agile and easy to drive.

Aria Oh Stroller Rentals

Our how-to videos seem to be getting  a lot of play these days. Customers love being able to see our rental gear in action before deciding which product is right for them.

An even better way to see the over 2 Million lights at the Zoo is with a 2 for 1 coupon. Travel Alberta holiday card holders can print off a coupon online for 2 for 1 admission prices.

Looking for a set of comfy cozy wheels to get you and your little one around the Zoo? We still have a few Peg Perego Aria Strollers available for rent during the holidays. Starting from $8/day this stroller is small enough to fit in the trunk of a car and easy to maneuver with one hand.

Peg Perego Aria Twin

I’m on the hunt for another Peg Perego Aria Twin to add to the One Tiny Suitcase inventory. I’ve recommended this stroller before http://onetinysuitcase.wordpress.com/2009/01/19/double-stroller-by-peg-perego/. ariatwinfolded

The model we currently have is the 50/50 seat split and I really prefer it for use by our travelling families. The newest ARIAtwin model has a 60/40 seat split to accommodate an infant car seat on one side that would definitely be nice for an infant and a toddler.

When looking for another brand of double stroller to carry at One Tiny Suitcase I checked out a few other models of side by side doubles. The ZOOPER‘s are on my list of top strollers that are super tough, super stylish. The ZOOPER Tango http://www.zooper.com/Tango%20Products%20Zooper.html has a lot of great features (independent reclining seats, removable armrests, large storage basket, etc.). The only problem I see with the Tango is that it weighs 29 lbs.

The Valco’s double stroller model called the Latitude 2 is tough but weighs a whopping 30lbs.

The Peg Perego Aria Twin weighs an amazing 20lbs and folds super flat. My favorite double stroller right now!

Oh and while I was at the store admiring the Aria Twin, I had a look at the new Peg Perego SI stroller- love the striped fabric. It’s on display right now at BoBebe Westhills in Calgary www.bobebe.com PegPeregoSI

Cosatto Travel Strollers

On our recent trip to Disneyland we were told by friends, in no uncertain terms, to use strollers for the twins. My kids were turning 5 years old while we were at Disney so it seemed a bit strange to be using strollers again but, when my mom friends give advice- I listen.

Thankfully, they were so right. We had thought about renting stroDisney 034llers at Disneyland but needed strollers to get from our hotel and back every day (about 1.5 miles one-way) so we decided to bring some with us from the One Tiny Suitcase (www.onetinysuitcase.ca) inventory.

The COSATTO travel strollers were the best option: light weight, easy to fold, reclining, 5 point harness, etc. We’ve had great feedback from our customers about these strollers and everything they said was true.

I don’t know how we would have done Disneyland with just a regular umbrella stroller and a bigger stroller like a CHARIOT would have been completely impractical because of the need to fold and unfold the strollers so often.

The COSATTO‘s, pictured here at the Calgary International Airport, turned some heads in California!

We rent out this brand in Calgary for $6/day…a small price to pay for comfort and convenience at the Calgary Zoo or around town in Banff. Check out our selecton of Stroller and Baby Equipment Rentals at www.onetinysuitcase.ca

Prams, Pushchairs, Strollers and Buggys

I was speaking with one of our UK customers today and we were talking about the different names for Baby Equipment Rentals around the globe. Originally from South Africa and now living in the UK, she had some trouble finding what we would call ‘stroller rentals’ for her visit to Canada.

silvercross-pram

Luckily she found One Tiny Suitcase (www.onetinysuitcase.ca) and we were able to reserve an all-terrain stroller for her trip out to the mountains.

It got me thinking- what would you find for Stroller/Pram/Pushchair/Buggy rentals around the world?

Spain: Carrycot Stroller 20 Euros/day http://babytravelling.com/pasear_en.html

South Africa: Maclarent Quest Stroller R65/day http://www.babylite.co.za/ProductsView.asp?IVID=43&IVDEP2=50&IVDEP1=2

South Carolina: Jogging Stroller $15USD/day http://www.beachbabyrentalsmb.com/Rental_Equipment.html

Banff Baby Strollers

Our strollers seem to be spending more time in Banff these days than I am. Customers are calling in everyday looking for an all-terrain stroller that they can take with them to Banff. One of my favorite stroller recommendations is the ZOOPER.

zooperboogie

This brand of stroller has been part of our inventory since our opening Day in 2006 (www.onetinysuitcase.ca) . Tough as nails, full of features and comes with so many custom accessories it can battle any kind of weather. Here are 5 reasons why the ZOOPER is so good for a winter trip:

1. The Winter Boot– included with all ZOOPER stroller rentals, this ‘boot’ or ‘foot muff’ as it is sometimes called, protects little one’s feet and never needs a blanket.

4. Custom rain cover– which in Canada doubles as a snow cover. ‘Custom’ means it was made for the Zooper which means your little one will be protected and comfortable.

5. It’s Cute– it’s really cute. Our latest model is Midnight blue with the little ZOOPER logo.

Travel Savvy Mom Review

A big thank you to Travel Savvy Mom (one of the best family travel websites on the net) for their review of our service http://www.travelsavvymom.com/blog/resources/one-tiny-suitcase/#comments. It sounds like the Jiang family enjoyed their Alberta adventure with the help of our baby equipment rentals.

Her review included The BRITAX Roundabout car seat which is one of our best sellers and is super easy to izooperboogie1nstall in a rental car. Our toy packages are also customized for each client based on the age of their child and what they enjoy playing with most.

As for the “nice, heavy duty stroller” the author said she saw another family picking up- that was the Zooper  (watch for a video review of that product shortly) http://www.onetinysuitcase.ca/NewStrollerRentals.html.
