Our friendly staff make it easy to order and receive your Breast Pump Rental. You can ask your partner or a family member to call in the order and make the arrangements for you.

Rentals are only $99/month. We provide more value by hand delivering the pump to your door and showing you how to set it up and get started. Payment is by credit card at the time of delivery and there is no deposit put against your card. You don’t have to commit to a specific rental time period beyond the initial first month either. Go month to month after that or use our daily rate of $4.

We also carry the Double Pumping starter kit for the Medela Symphony Pumps. The kit has everything you need to get started breastpumping. It includes bottles, breastshields, a Micro Steam Cleaning bag, pump n save bags, nursing pads and even the popular Calma feeding nipple. Kits are $79 and we can bring one out with your rental.

Breakfast Television Winnipeg

Winnipeg is a great city with lots of young families. When we were asked to appear on Breakfast Television Winnipeg we were excited to help spread the word about Baby Equipment Rentals.

Baby Equipment Rentals in WinnipegThe segment featured one of our newest car seat rentals the BRITAX Marathon as well as a PEG PEREGO Aria stroller, MEDELA hospital grade breast pump and a NICOLET fetal doppler rental.

Kristina shared with viewers that after travelling with her young son and seeing how much Baby Equipment she needed to pack for one trip there “had to be a better way”.

Thank you Calgary Baby Show Attendees

The Calgary Baby Show was another great success this year! With a record turn out of expectant and new parents, we met a lot of bellies and babies this weekend. It doesn’t look like there is any end in sight to Calgary’s baby boom.

Thank you to everyone who visited the One Tiny Suitcase, baby equipment rentals booth at the show.

We were happy to talk to parents about our Medela Breast Pump rental service. Moms-to-be were surprised to hear that we deliver Breast Pumps to their door, 7 days a week. Just call us when you are leaving the hospital and we can have a pump to you within 24 hours.

There were several requests for live demos of the Fetal Doppler rentals too.

Also on display were some of our Baby Equipment Rentals for families travelling to Calgary. The Rock Star Baby stroller was a hit, as were the Britax Roundabout car seat and Peg Perego travel system. I can’t say enough good things about the Primo Viaggio and Aria travel system…indestructable.

Calgary Baby Show & Breakfast TV

The countdown is on to this weekend’s Calgary Baby Show (October 3 & 4)!

BT Calgary

Calgary’s Breakfast Television asked Mompreneur Magazine’s Kathryn Bechtold to join them on Wednesday morning to talk about the upcoming show and showcase some of the new and innovative products that will be at this year’s show.

When selecting products for this segment, Kathryn called us at One Tiny Suitcase.

Our Fetal Doppler rentals were highlighted as one of the unique products and services available to Calgary’s Expectant Moms.

Medela Breast Pump Rentals

So, the One Tiny Suitcase website (www.onetinysuitcase.ca) is almost complete. My goal is to have a video demo for every product we carry so that our customers feel confident about renting equipment.

When it came to the MEDELA breast pump rentals we carry, a demo video just didn’t seem like a good idea….Breast Pumps are a pretty personal product, a demo could be tricky, you get the picture. What I decided to do instead was answer some of the basic questions new moms have about how to operate the breast pump.

I meet lots of new moms and many have never even seen a Breast Pump before. Well, here goes:

Please keep in mind that our MEDELA breast pump rentals include free delivery in Calgary (403-510-2005) & Edmonton (587-784-0212).  We are open 7 days a week and can usually have a pump to you in 24 hours. Delivered by moms for moms!

Breast Pump Carry-on Denied

Check out this story about a travelling mom who tried to take her Breast Pump as carry on through a Canadian Airport last week.

Security personnel questioned why a mother would be travelling with a breast pump and not a child with her. Obviously, there were not any ‘moms’ on duty that day.

Breast pumps- The new carry on?

I was reading a very interesting article in the New Yorker today http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2009/01/19/090119fa_fact_lepore  about Breastfeeding, Breast Pumps and Mothers. As a big fan of Pumping (my twins were preemies and pumping enabled me to ‘breastfeed’ them) I thought the article raised a lot of relevant questions.

One Tiny Suitcase (www.onetinysuitcase.ca) also received a call from a mother yesterday who was on vacation in the Calgary area and looking to rent a breast pump for an ’emergency’. Last year our business expanded to include Medela Breast Pump rentals http://www.onetinysuitcase.ca/Medelapumps.htm. We mostly rent outMedela breast pump rentals the Breast Pumps to new Moms in the Calgary area but we have had some travellers request them as well.

So it raised the question of how women travel and pump? I personally know of women who have travelled with their Breast Pumps as part of their carry on luggage and pumped while on the plane, in their hotel, in the car (those car adapters come in handy when you are parking in a parking lot). I used to bring expressed milk with us when we travelled because our flights were pretty short and packed my breast pump.

Medela evens makes the Pump in Style in a backpack format. Good for trekking? I’m not sure but the new Freestyle pump is hands free…
